I hate good-byes!!! Just go....

Well...the day has come and gone. Although to tell you the truth, I am not sure how many days has gone by or what day it is for that matter. I have been on bedrest recovering from surgery. A tonsilectomy to be exact. All went well. I was freakin out but everything went great. I was at the hospital by 6am and home by 11am. Go Dr. White! That is what I call great service! Let's hope the saying "you get what you pay for" is also true!

I was VERY lucky to have my mum and Nannie there with me. They took me to the hospital and brought me back to mum's house to take care of me. I am not sure what I would have done without them! Have I told you the greatest part of this surgery? LOSING weight like it's my job!!! I can BARELY choke down one package of ramen for a meal. Today consisted of a small jello snackpack that took me about one hour to eat. Then a bowl of applesauce that I got half way through, felt the need to vomit (didn't) and then finished it off about three hours later. I got through about 1/4 pack of ramen today. I just choked down some ice cream. I know why they say you shouldn't eat that. Can we say PHLEGM people?
These meds are amazing too! I feel drunk all the time! It is great! I can't stay awake for more than an hour. I have never slept so much in my life!
I would post pics, but I will spare you! It is a super weird feeling in my mouth. Some holes and a THICK layer of substance...LOVELY!

DJ Hottie Pants is coming to my wedding!

Today marks the end of the "Semilliams" weekend, a.k.a. Heidi and Justin's wedding weekend!

It started Friday with a fun trip to the nail salon with the ladies for some girlie bonding...then to the chicken bar! Maids have GOT to eat!
The toes after the salon...CHICKEN BAR, here we come!

HillyP is deep in story at Chicken Bar!

Friday night we headed out to the ever so famous "Kings Raven Winery" where the ceremony and party were to take place the very next day. Rehearsal started approx. one hour late, but who's counting?

Saturday started early with a trip to mom's to get my hair done then off to the salon to meet up with the maids and Bridezilla (totally the opposite actually) herself! They were getting their "hairs did" and make up too! I joined in for the make up. There is something about other people doing my hair that gets to me. So mom was there to rescue me! Love you ma! (she will never in her life read this, but oh well!)

Best Western was the site we met up to get dressed and off we went to the big show!

The ceremony was 6 MINUTES people! That is what I call quick and dirty! Best 6 minutes of my life! My ankles didn't even have time to itch as they usually do when standing in these ceremonies wasting away my life...KIDDING! I love every minute of it...even if I did have beads of "glow" running down my arms at K and B's wedding last week! Totally worth it!

We partied it up like rock stars last night. We fell in love with DJ Sean (a.k.a DJ Hottie pants), too! He was DARLING minus the fact he was married and drives a Dodge Sprinter like John and Kate...whatever!!!! (how did I get no pictures of him? Worst day of my life!) He ran the show and did a mighty fine job. I told him that if he wasn't retired or in a wheelchair by the time I got married he was already hired. He liked that...I am pretty sure he has booked me already.

I do have to admit one little thing...I know this is no surprise! I FELL and HURT MY ANKLE SO BAD!!! Broken? Maybe...do I care? Not really! Here's what happened...
During the ceremony I looked out into the crowd and saw a lady go down. I threw my bouquet to Erica and sprinted to her...unfortunately for me, there were chairs in the way so I had to take a dive. Sometime in there I rolled the ankle and boy did it hurt. I do have to say something though...I got some mighty fine pain killers from Dr. Widmer...also known as HEF!

Real Story: The grounds were SUPER uneven at the site...all over the place and we were wearing super cute wedges. Only guess what people? Super cute wedges and uneven spotty grass don't really mix. I did well until I got a really good idea to cut through the barkdust seeing how it seemed more even than the grass...BAD IDEA says my walking partner AKA groomsman "Fruity". So I rolled the ankle and probably just really badly sprained it then danced all night on it...the whole Dr. Widmer thing was true. THIS HOWEVER did not stop "Fruity" and I from doing our signature move that took me about 24 hours to convince him that it was a good idea. THE HIP BUMP! DJ Hottie pants introduced the Wedding party and then Heidi and Justin. Guess who got to go first? The least liked friends you say? CORRECT! Fruity and Meg Meg take the limelight and head across the dance floor...the plan was to hip bump right before we parted ways...so we walk walk walk...about to part/bump and DJ Hottie pants cuts our time short and gets on with the show! What the crap? NO ONE saw our hip bump except the rest of the wedding party...OH WELL! I think he planned it that way!!! (fist!)

Today we headed to Casa de Semet (Heidi's parent's house) to watch them open presents and keep the party rollin..Good Times People...Good Times!

Kindergartenisms....

I will be using first names of my students but leaving out the last names to protect my kids from you weirdos out there!!!

Isaac~ After recess one day..."I'm sweatin like a buffalo!" after recess the next day "I'm sweating like a donkey Miss C!"

Mikey~ After making pumpkin pie right before Thanksgiving..."Miss C! My mom used to make this for me when I was a kid!"

Jason~ To his friend AJ. (jason puts his arm around AJ) "My mom says this is what you do when you are good buddies with someone!(referring to the arm around him)

Trenton~ For Halloween Miss C dressed up like the coconut tree from Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. For those of you who don't know...it is a coconut tree that letters climb up. Very popular in the primary grades. So Trent asked me to tie his shoe. As I am tying it he says "Hey! You don't have any coconuts" this was true..I just had the letters...he points to my chest "Those can be your coconuts!" Thanks! Appreciate that!

Sam~ Sam was headed to the retirement community where his nana was moving into for Thanksgiving. I had just taught the kids a turkey song sung to the tune of "I'm a little teapot". Sam's mom had just explained that their family would probably adopt a person from nana's retirement community for Christmas because they didn't have a family or a lot of money. I asked Sam the day before he left if he would sing that song for Nana...he replied "yes! I will sing it for nana and all the poor people she lives with!"

Twas the Night Before the Wedding...

I just returned from Sass and Pookie's rehearsal dinner! What a blast those peoples are! The wedding should be rockin tomorrow.
I finally got to meet the infamous...dun dun dun....MOTHER IN LAW!
WOWSERS!!! All the stories I hear were true! Not that I didn't believe them. It was just that...I dunno, how could she be that bad? Well guess what?!?!?! SHE IS! She is like a flea on a hot skillet...as Lydia would say!
ADD for adults anyone? Holy guacamole...how in the world did she teach? It must have driven those kids crazy!!!

The wedding party is a crazy one too! We are fun kids that is for sure! As long as we don't break any ankles...I think the dance floor will be on FIRE! It is black and white checkered for those interested.

The wedding is outside in the elements...lucky for me it isn't as hot as last weekend. Yikes! It was a hot one folks! Tomorrow should be mucho better! (that is spanish for "much better")

During rehearsal tonight I kind of made a little trademark for myself. As I walked through the tent to the main part of the ceremony...I may have did a small spin on the dance floor =) I am the first one out! I have to make some kind of good entrance!!! Any other ideas?

Welcome All!

Welcome to my blog! I have been debating on whether to attempt this...full knowing that I won't be as funny as most bloggers. But what do I have to lose really? I mean maybe a stalker or two, but that would be great for my image!

I think I won't tell anyone about this really...until I have a real funny one. Then the news will be all over town =)
